We teach all aspects of ballroom dancing from casual social dance to the advanced competition style. You can get started in group classes, or private lessons, or a combination of the two.
Private Lessons
Private lessons are the best way to learn to dance. They offer the advantage of personal attention to one's individual needs and consequently more rapid progress and thorough understanding of dancing.
Group Lessons
Group instruction, while not offering personal attention, gives the opportunity to mix with others and gain experience leading and following a variety of partners.
What kind of dancing?
Social dancing includes typical wedding dances such as waltz, foxtrot or slow dancing, and swing. It also includes the popular Latin American dances such as salsa, tango Argentino, merengue, rumba, cha cha, samba.
Competition dancing includes many of these same dances in a more theatrical format (which can be in what are called International or American style)
We have courses especially tailored for wedding couples, and monthly classes in swing, salsa/merengue, and Argentine tango, as well as specialty dances like Hip Hop.
What can you expect?
No Contracts! We do not have contracts or high pressure sales techniques. We pride ourselves on offering the highest quality instruction at reasonable prices. That's it - all you need to do is decide what type lesson is right for you, Private or Group.
Members of our staff train under the owner, John Pattillo, one of Marylands most well-known and experienced teachers. Many of them are also certified with the most prestigious professional ballroom dance organization in the world, the Imperial Society of Teachers of Dance.
We also offer weekly Parties for practicing and socializing. We are open weekdays 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. and Saturdays 10 a.m. to 11 p.m.
