Phillip Stephens teaches all levels of American Smooth & Rhythm plus International Standard & Latin. In addition to teaching and competing both professionally and with students, he has performed on stage in productions like "200 Years of Dancing in America" and as the principle in "The King and I."
Having won many titles while competing professionally, Phillip is a Championship Certified judge registered with the National Dance Council of America and the World Dance & Dance Sport Council. Phillip holds a Viennese Waltz Licentiate degree plus Fellowship degrees in Ballroom and Latin with the International Dance Teachers Association. He holds Fellowship degrees in American Smooth and Rhythm with the US Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing and with the North American Dance Teachers Association. Phillip is a Dual Fellow and Examiner for the Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing, which is considered to be the world's leading dance examinations board.
Phillip travels extensively to give lectures, workshops and dance examinations. He judges many major competitions including the Ohio Star Ball, Heart of America and North American Championships.
A large number of people regularly enroll in the Be a Dance Teacher training programs Phillip offers. In addition to conducting dance examinations and tests, he also provides training for students, coaches competitive couples and prepares individuals and groups for Professional Degree Certification Examinations.
